Whenever I read an or listen to an interview with a current or former porn girl talking about what led them on their downward spiral of whoring, drug use, stealing movies from video stores, ripping the tags off of mattresses, etc., they always seem to have one thing in common.

A rotten childhood.

Then I think about my own growing up experiences, which were not exactly the greatest. Now, they are a few of these girls out there who have stories way worse than mine, but some of them seem to have childhoods that sound not too unlike my own(well, except for the sexual abuse, thank God).

I could take tales from when I was a kid or teenager(exaggerate bits here and there, maybe add a case or two of molestation), type them up and give them to a porn whore and have her tell the story to Shelley Lubben as an excuse why she does what she does. Guess what would happen? She get a ton of sympathy from all the anti-porn types out there, that's what.

Now if I or anybody else outside of porn tried to use the same stories as an excuse for why we do anything we do, what would happen? No sympathy, be laughed at and mocked, and would probably be told to stop crying about things that happened years ago and take responsibility for our own lives. and rightfully so, I might add.

So, what causes some people to give sympathy and excuse their actions to one group of people for a rough childhood, but not to everybody else?
