http://youtube.com/watch?v=bdTELokKfCk Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond... Before the KLF, before The Orb... While they were still the JAMMS... they performed this masterpiece as... The Timelords which led to them publishing thier manual on how to sell millions of records.. The Manual. A couple of crazy cats with a love of science fiction and Robert Anton Wilson novels (Justified Ancients of MuMu)

Good f'n lord I had all those records, though I was more of a "James Brown is Dead" gal. And who could forget Orbital's "Halcyon and On." Anyone remember Ultramarine? That was the shit.

Yes, no shit Orbital isn't The Orb. Just made mention of it as an aside. Not saying it was 'Little Fluffy Clouds' et all...Orb. I'm older than fucking dirt, which meant you had two nickels to rub together in the 5th grade to buy these records.

The K Foundation burn a million quid...genius. Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5This is the last I have heard of them...their secret spoof/comment on girl groups like the Spice Girls 'Vanilla'They really pushed the boat out on promoting them, even though the song is intentionally crap, and managed to get them a lot of high profile media spots in the UK. It was basically their way of saying nobody actually cares about the quality of music anymore, and just buys into the hype. Suffice to say, many people had egg on their faces when it was revealed that this group was nothing more than a huge, top-secret practical joke by the K Foundation. The predictable, cliche-ridden lyrics and incredibly bad dancing should have given it away.

I love Robert Anton Wilson's books but I never got into these guys. Not a big fan of techno. Still, it's good to ss the whole Discordian thing publicized.
