aye, it's an awesome play... hopefully Burton does justice to it.
Maybe dating myself here but I saw the play on broadway starring Angela Lansbury when she was much younger, it's a fantastic story, The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street and I have total faith in Johnny Depp . I really hope the film turns out well.

I'll probably wait till it comes out on video. I'm a big Johnny Depp fan, but don't really like period pieces or (quasi) musicals.

Looked her up on imdb. Ms. Lansbury will be 82 on Tuesday.
I saw the play in 1980, so she was like 52-53 ... a few years before "Murder She Wrote".
btw, Any one remember her from the "classics" National Velvet and Samson & Delilah?? She was very cute in her day.

lol, when Renfield said younger, I was thinking the 1960's. 52 is old too me.
