This could be a case of overkill but speaking from past experience everyone should work at least a year in a department store/supercenter type of environment and see how cynical you become of humanity in general. People have absolutely no respect for goods/property that is not theirs. I could list countless times I had to pick up bones/food scraps from stuff that was eaten without being paid for, perishable goods like meat, dairy products and other frozen foods that were just stuffed behind a display somewhere when someone decided they didn't want it and left for some poor schmuck (i.e. me) to discover at the end of the night instead of being put back where they got it.(Think about that the next time you bitch about the cost of milk) I've seen people change their minds and literally drop something they didn't want on the floor not one step away from the rack they picked up from because they were to Goddamn lazy to put it back. To say nothing of all the conmen and ripoff artists who are trying to walk out with anything not nailed down or can't believe you have the gall to ask them for i.d. with the $5000 check they are writing. Yeah the sentence may not fit the crime but I can't cry to many tears for any asshole like this who finally gets the boot up his ass he deserves.
