pinupmutant, I don't know if this is the best forum to ask this question. It's funny but not surprising that a lot of the posters here cant imagine having platonic female friends. But it is absolutely possible, I guess it just depends on the people. No offense, but Ivor might have a point. If you seem to be having problems making friends with guys chances are its something you're doing (the guys you're choosing?), I don't know if it's what he suggested specifically tho. Personally I'm far too emotionally distant from anyone to use any of my guy friends as an emotional crutch so that's never been an issue as far as I can tell.

Growing up and even today I've watched my dad make friends with almost everyone he meets. He's charismatic and charming and can make even the quietest person talk and laugh.. He's an amazing cook and will regularly throw dinner parties where he invites anyone who will come, the more the merrier, young old, man woman, american foriegn. Granted I never grew up to be quite the social butterfly he is, but at least befriending someone with a penis never seemed far-fetched.
