Anarchy Films and Python Pictures have jointly signed Ariana Jolie to direct six titles by the end of the year, most likely shooting three for Anarchy and three for Python.

Although Jolie has never directed before she's eager to get started, describing her directing style as a cross between Khan Tusion and John Leslie. "I'm a pervert and I'd like the entire world to see my perverted mind," she told AVN.com.

She'll start shooting The Narcassist, her directorial debut, at the beginning of June with a goal of releasing it by the end of the same month. "It's going to be gonzo, but I'm going to make sure that it's shot beautifully and that it's filthy as a fuck," Jolie said.

Jolie has been working in the adult industry as a performer for 14 months, and estimates she has been in 200 videos so far, including 100 that have yet to be released.

"She has a great name in the industry," James Melendy, who owns Python and serves as head of sales for Anarchy. "She's just about one of the dirtiest girls out there. It's just a big help for both sides, giving her a new aspect of her career and giving us a new talented director."

Jolie had just finished performing in her own interactive DVD, Playing with Ariana, that will be released by Anarchy later this year.

It's not so much that women *can't* direct; it' just that it's a waste of talent. Why would you have your best pitcher play outfield?

What is really fuckin funny is all the people that think there is actually any directing involved in making porn. There is no directing in a gonzo movie, sure maybe there is some slight directing involved in a feature porn but in gonzo there is no directing. What the hell is there to direct? Not a damn thing, most of the so called directors in the biz do nothing... Its the goddamn camera man that does most of everything from getting the talent in the positions and then filming it. Now I am not saying that there aren't some directors that do more, but overall it is a crock of shit. So getting a porn whore to direct is not exactly a bad idea, as they aren't gonna do anything anyways except slap their name onto the box. That's what's so annoying about porn today because they give a camera and an opportunity to direct to just about every swinging dick no matter how talentless. Gen, you know, I think you might actually be one of the few exceptions to the rule I mentioned. Anyway, I'm not bashing all porn babes who want to branch out because I think Francesca Le' has done an amazing job as a porno producer/director. But Aurora Snow? C'mon, let's be real, what originality is she going to bring to the table? Anything truly unique, something not influenced by Jay Ashley, stuff that isn't going to be crammed in around her shooting schedule? What Arianna Jollee will do remains to be seen. But with these studs turned producers: A fucker doesn't necessarily make a director. However, I sure these people could get more from the talent since they were performers as well. I think Gregory Dark was the last of the great non-performer porn directors or perhaps even the greatest. John Leslie has some style and is trying to do a little more than most with his gonzo because he has some history from when porn was all shot on film. Buttman was great in the begining, but now it's just not interesting anymore. And Paul Thomas is totally droll. some of the Private directors know what they're doing although it isn't always brilliant cept for Frank Thring. class dismissed...
