New York state is hiring a private media watchdog group to go after c***d porn? Won't that group have to actually d/l the files to see if they really contain illegal material and if they do, wouldn't they then be guilty of a federal crime?

The Attorney General has very limited criminal prosecutoral powers under the State Constitution, and I really don't see how he can claim the ability to prosecute kiddie porn cases, let alone contract with out-of-state companies to investigate them.

Really, the prosecution of kiddie porn cases is best left to the Feds, or, barring that, to the 62 DAs in New York State. Andy should stick to enforcing the Lemon Law.
