Dane Up for Sale

Porn Valley- I spoke to Ed from Dane Productions this morning. He tells me the company's up for sale.

"As you know we had a big flood her a couple of years ago," he explains. "It cost us a couple of hunred thousand dollars. We really tried to recover from it and it was awfully hard. So Dane is in a position of selling the company."

If that doesn't happen, says Ed, he'll shut the company down and just concentrate on the Internet. In that scenario he will no longer do distribution.

"I'll just do titles and build the Internet up."

"I blame the landlord," Ed says. "And I also blame AVN- that show cost me a fortune." According to Ed, it was hardly worth his while to do the show in January much less the fact that he got shuttled around to a different location then from the one he contracted for.

And because he lost his tenant who was subleasing space, Ed says the best of all possible options is for him to sell.

"I think it's time," he said. "Someone could take over my titles. We never sold anything. I never chopped up my stuff. I need someone who wants to concentrate on it 100%. I'd like to get this done ASAP. My tenant is leaving the end of this month."

I love Luke, he never allows facts to stand in the way of a good headline. Unfortunately, its untrue. I wish I was about to rake in millions, okay thousands, well maybe $12.83 for PrimeTimeUncensored.com but alas it is not to be.

PUSH Magazine is owned by a friend in Phoenix and its a relative upstart rag. They are a highend glossy mag that covers the adult entertainment industry. Basically, we can give him content, ie interviews, vids, photos and he can cross promote and sell ads for us.

Not a sale, not a merger, just some good ole networking.

We are closing for a month in order to relaunch as a channel site and to rebuild the studio. I want to add some new sets and to cover costs - rent it out on occasion. We are moving all production to Saturdays, cutting shows to 1 hr.

We are looking to ad more varied content and to do more "out of the studio" types of shows.

I am really enjoy doing the Howl and LA Improv show.

how can you dislike luke and post here? it's important to know people in porn are more than the awful acts the commit, they're awful people too. and they do stupid and bad things and tell him about it. that's a good thing.

luke's interviews and archives are literally the only thing that will be worth reading about porn if you were an academic 400 years from now trying to find out what was happening here before that nuke thing with china in 2010. it's always fun to talk shit about the characters and writing of hesiod or plutarch, but someday luke will be the only primary source on our societal decay before the nuclear winter, dark ages and cannibalism. if only the avn archives survived the rubble, imagine how misinformed future generations would be. they'd think cellphoneporn was everywhere and that most pornstars went to college but chose to express their sexuality as a gift to us all.

I don't know. I have it on good authority that Clinton had the complete Gene Ross archive stored in lead-lined cases underneath that hotel in West Virginia where the Government's supposed to go in case of nuclear attack. we know gene can be good. he's amazing at times then he goes back to periods of realizing he needs to eat and is nice to people. i want one of the two to retire and sell out EVERYONE they befriended to get their info.
