Dane Up for Sale

Porn Valley- I spoke to Ed from Dane Productions this morning. He tells me the company's up for sale.

"As you know we had a big flood her a couple of years ago," he explains. "It cost us a couple of hunred thousand dollars. We really tried to recover from it and it was awfully hard. So Dane is in a position of selling the company."

If that doesn't happen, says Ed, he'll shut the company down and just concentrate on the Internet. In that scenario he will no longer do distribution.

"I'll just do titles and build the Internet up."

"I blame the landlord," Ed says. "And I also blame AVN- that show cost me a fortune." According to Ed, it was hardly worth his while to do the show in January much less the fact that he got shuttled around to a different location then from the one he contracted for.

And because he lost his tenant who was subleasing space, Ed says the best of all possible options is for him to sell.

"I think it's time," he said. "Someone could take over my titles. We never sold anything. I never chopped up my stuff. I need someone who wants to concentrate on it 100%. I'd like to get this done ASAP. My tenant is leaving the end of this month."
