Well I am officially back from my working vacation in london. Here are some pics i took from the british museum. Add your own comments if you wish. the entrance the greatest library ever. i dream about having this many books. here is a close up of some of them. as a history major, i love this stuff....i spent a long time in here and in their reference library... next up.... maybe this would help performers make it to set on time. the gear for a warrior king. ah dreams..... i went to this museum to attempt to see the terra cotta soldiers that the chinese emperor had 9000 of put into the tomb. yeah right, sold out for 2 weeks in advance. good times. the caption read...in conky we trust in latin...strange anyone want to start off with a gay joke about me for this one? where i would have been buried in ancient egypt where gia jordan would have been buried in ancient egypt there is a funny caption here, just couldnt think of it...oh and the black girl in the middle of it was smoking hot. looked portuguese actually. good to know that even in ancient times, people had ways to measure their drugs. and the highlight of my visit...the rosetta stone. how fucking cool is that. for the uneducated, the rosetta stone is the link between greek and hieroglyphics. i think there is a joke about el g's language in there, but i will refrain. okay my friends, there you have it....my british museum experience....oh wait...here are some extra pics... at a chelsea football match (dont ask about the pink monkey) riding the tube in style having a blurry lunch solo. special thanks to the bitch who couldnt be bothered to hold the camera with 2 hands while she gossipped to her friend about work. thanks.

I love the British Museum-- last time I was there I spent 4 hours in it, and I only saw about half of it.

The main collection has moved to a separate site Warp. Although the British Museum is where Marx did that bit of research...

Looks like the Rosenborg game. Unfortunately, if that was your first game at the Bridge, not the best game to experience the Premiership/Champions League. Otherwise, cool pics!

The British Library officially separated from the British Museum (in the 70s); the Library's main site is on Euston Road in Central London. You should go there.

it's hilarious that like, all of classical athens is in the b.m. london's unhealthy. i've gotten to the point where i'm compelled to hit the tates so i can say i did something other than being thrown out of sketch(which was cool, getting rid of us was more important to them than recouping the outrageous tab for food and booze) then embarking on the worst coke binge ever with this crazy iranian from college. his parents had a place on belgrave road in case they decided to kill all the rich people in iran which they do from time to time. any neighborhood where people get upset helicopters can't land anymore is hilarious. apparently, his parents have put in some crazy maze of a garden after being told that no, a citrus-orchard wouldn't be structurally-sound. the moral of the story is you can be a total mess or even persian and unable to talk but chicks are somehow blind to it when invited to come back to party somewhere banning helicopters upset the middle-easterners, ruskie oligarchs or the 2 kinds of brits, the super-overbred twits who inherited their home like their peripherally-royal title or the guys who play with lots of other people's money.
oh, and i slugged a bottle of wine right before i had to go into heathrow and threw up my pills to go to sleep. into a trashcan in broad daylight. worst flight ever.

urinating in mouths while being filmed is so nonsexual yet the funniest concept ever. well, hitting the person with a bat right afterwards would add to it. it's funnier to do it for free on ksex then get hit with a bat. i hope my kids get pissed on for free on sex-talk radio someday.

you deserve to piss on some chick monstar. tell one of your clients she agreed to let you and it was in a contract she signed. porn chicks have bad memories. anyhow, you should easily be able to trick someone into letting you urinate on them.

Damn, when did you have time to go to the museum? I was always running around trying to get to work on time, getting wardrobe for shoots, or getting over jet lag. I so totally miss riding the expensive and slow tube, but I don't miss the 16 dollar hamburgers. Coming home was always good.

it was at a directors house. he had literally thousands of videos and miniatures....its was really strange. lol. in bristol too by the way.
by the way dang, i found myself going on the tube from south ken to woodgreen on the piccadilly line about 115pm on saturday. needless to say it got progressively more and more arsenal dudes...lol....by arsenal tube stop i was jammed in with about 100 supports in my car alone. lol. and then of course they went out and destroyed derby county 5-0.
Bristol? Phil Barry, perhaps...or someone I don't know.
By the way, that's how it is on the tube on a match day...all Arsenal fans get off at either Arsenal station or Finsbury Park, depending on whereabouts they are going to be sitting in the stadium...you'll see the same phenomena on any London-bound mainline trains as well. Obviously, the fixtures are coordinated so that certain teams aren't at home on the same day (i.e., if Arsenal are at home, Spurs will be playing away and vice versa) both to ease congestion and avoid any confrontations.

British food used to be the worst in the world, a title it rightfully deserved. But it has changed dramatically. In London it's at least as good as in any other world city (some say now it's even better than in continental Europe, because many good cooks have moved to London where they can make more money). One big problem with London besides the strong pound (1 pound = $2) is the insane cost of real estate. The monthly rent for an average (small) 1 bedroom apartment in South Kensington is $4,500 and up. Want to own? Marry a banker.

Wow.
It's expensive to buy real estate in London? What about New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong? I'm sure EVERYBODY who lives there is a banker.
Seriously, If Christian got paid in pounds instead of dollars that trip was quite lucrative. I'm guessing you may have earned 12-15 percent more than similar work in the states. Then again I don't know if the scale is the same as in the Valley. Heck, it could be more.
Oh well, he is just a life support system for a chemically enhance erection. Glad you had a good time.
Vanessa would you let Billy Baldwin diddle you like Candis Cayne? Fuck, those Baldwins are weird mothers.
That dizzy dame, Candis, wants to play a "regular" woman in a work of fiction. I guess if a dude like Nicollette Sheridan can find steady work in Hollywood as a woman then a lady like Candis can do ANYTHING.
Tell me, is Candis the Rosa Parks of Trans-gendered People?
Only, she sits on Baldwin cock instead of the front of the buss. I think that sick fucker Billy has been in a three way with Candis and Alexis Arquette.
I guess if tyranny bagging is good enough for a Baldwin then its O.K. for Christian too.

What is "tyranny" bagging?

Actually, numbnuts, she's playing a tranny on the show (Dirty Sexy Money), opposite of Billy Baldwin, not a "regular" woman as you put it. At least get your facts straight before you start spouting off garbage.
It is really just laughable.
Please read or view interviews she has done in promoting her role on the show. She talks about wanting to play a "regular" female because its all just ACTING.
So, I guess my garbage is worse than the other refuse posted on this Algonquin Round Table of degenerates and social outcasts.

Hey CX3 et al - by coincidence, I'm in London right now - and planning on seeing the Tate tomorrow. Just biz meetings in the city so far - day off tomorrow and flight home on Saturday.
The walking is good for you by christ I drink a lot of ale here - I had like 8 pints yesterday (in a couple of sittings).
Prices? Outrageous. Tube rides are $8 ONE WAY (without a pass). Mobile phones are the only thing cheap!
PS CX3 - thanks for the restaurant recommendation - I hope to get there tomorrow night.

No I've lived in England for years and that's a terrible indicator of price difference.
Go into a random pub in most parts of the country (not just London) and lunch--beefburger and chips, or a lamb shank, say--is going to cost you 8-10 quid with a pint.
That's 16-20 bucks. That goes pretty far in America. Maybe not in NY or SF, but everywhere else.

In NYC (depending on the neighborhood) You can get a Bacon Cheeseburger, fries and a couple of pints of Guinness and still tip the girl for $20.

Yanks who say London food is bad don't really know shit about London. It's probably one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Pakis, Indians, Nigerians, Jamaicans all in one city means all sort of delicious and exotic foods. Better than any of nasty American junk food.

I think the complaint really is that home-grown British cuisine--you know, Lancashire hot pots, Cornish pasties, breaded plaice, etc.-- isn't so good.
Actually, if you get the right people to make these for you, these dishes can be amazingly good. But done poorly (as you'll often find them), it's pretty stodgy stuff.
London's international cuisine, on the other hand, is second to none--New York, Paris, and Tokyo included. Check the Red Book and you'll find London has plenty of quality establishments, and a number of extraordinary ones to boot.
