There are two great things about Dartmouth: Baker Library, and Tuck. Not athletics.

Baker Library is totally old-school. The main stacks are about 6'2" high and the cieling is only 1" higher on each floor. It's dark and dry...searching for a book is like throwing yourself into a dungeon without the magic string to stay away from the Medusa. It keeps all the material preserved, and doing research really feels like stepping back in time.

The best part of a Tuck is an open line to Jeff Immelt. If you're enrolled and you want to ask him even the most trivial question, chances are the A&D staff will get your e-mail to him, and he'll answer it personally. Not to mention that he shows up on campus regularly for meetings

I'd rather be known as a disciple of Ken Strange than the school that produced a NCAA skiing championship.
