Anita Cannibal here. Announcement not a discussion people. The school I go to is in print and easy to access if you Google my name. I challenge any person who decides it's a good idea to print that UWLA is not accredited and think about what the statement means to the alumni of, over 70, judges sitting on the bench in LA county. It is very unlikely that anyone will take this forum seriously but at the same time stating that over 70 judges in LA went to an unaccredited and therefore half ass school is only asking for consequences. Just something to think about before you bash the school I am honored to be attending.
Let's See:
In May 2005, the students and the law school's 12-member Faculty Senate gave a vote of no confidence in President Robert W. Brown and Chief Financial Officer David Wolf due to financial mismanagement. LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS. As a result of which...
---In November, 2005, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges' Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities voted to terminate the UWLA School of Law's accreditation, effective June 30, 2006 PDF
---The State Bar of California's Committee of Bar Examiners voted Jan. 21, 2006 to withdraw its accreditation from the university.SOURCE
While the California State Bar has apparantly restored it's accreditation, WASC has not, despite profiles for the school in Martindale-Hubble and other sources. Moreover, the school is not, and has never been, ABA accredited. Indeed, students wishing to practice law outside the State of California are warned that study at or graduation from UWLA may not qualify students to sit for the bar examination or practice law in other states. Doesn't say much about the place, does it, Anita?
