Any of you degenerates had the chicken pox? I never have, but two days ago I started getting a slight rash on my arms. They're too red to be mosquito bites, and too small to be juniper rash (I was cutting back some juniper bushes in my yard around the same time).
I noticed last night it's starting to spread from the back of my forearms to my upper arms, and a couple on my chest. Itches like fuck. Do we have a fake doctor here, because I have to have one foot in the grave before I'll go see one of those snake oil salesman.

Yes!!!! Strangely, I got chicken pox at 14-yrs-old after YEARS of being exposed to other kids with it. I figured by then I'd never get it. I've always had a super human immune system even as a kid.
Next thing I know, I'm home for a week with chicken pox, watching MTV's The Grind and complaining to my mom that all the other kids my age have gonnoreah and here I am with a kids' ailment. I think she said something regarding having the rest of my life to catch gonnoreah. I also wasn't down with missing in-class assignments and screwing up my perfect gpa.
TIP: Take Benadryl to ease the itch...TOTALLY works for some reason. SCRATCHING WILL CAUSE SCARRING. Trust me. I never scarred.
Sleep a lot if it takes your mind off scratching. Anything is worth not scarring.

Thanks G. I'm on my way out to work but I'll pick some up on the way home. Whatever this is it's driving me fucking nuts. There's nothing worse than resisting the urge to scratch an itch.

Chicken Pox in adulthood can lead to sterility, amongst other things.
And the others are right: Don't scratch. I had it at around 8 or 9. Still have some scars 30 years later.

I'm happy to take the role of fake doctor, since it seems to be one of the few fake professions not represented here.
1. Don't scratch.
2. Bathe in oatmeal or apply calamine lotion
3. Don't scratch
4. Look up all your main enemies and spit on them
5. Take these pills and come see me next week
JimB: I think you're confusing chicken pox with mumps. Mumps in adult males can potentially lead to sterility. Chicken pox can lead to sterility only if you scratch so much you end up with what we call "James Edward Olmos Syndrome".

False alarm. I emptied out one of my composters on the the other day. It seems my neighbor cut down some poison ivy last weekend and took the liberty of placing in my compost pile without telling me. After I found out about it I put on gloves, took some poison ivy and rubbed it on the clothes he had drying in his yard. I hope his balls fall off from scratching.

i had chicken pox when i was in the fifth grade; i was unknowingly exposed right before i switched schools (my parents got divorced and we had to move.) on day two or three at my new school, i started showing symptoms, and pretty soon had singlehandedly started a chicken pox epidemic at the new school. my future husband was in my new fifth grade class, and still thinks it's funny to tell people that i gave him the herp when i was ten. also, i'm helping my second grader study for spelling; check out some of the words over a two-week period: groan, squealed, stool, tuna, gland, fist, and cavity. 
* edited to add there is also the word "raccoon"; just remembered james' raccoon thread...

lol how do you not know that getting chicken pox when you are old is horribly bad, where the fuck are you from, congrats on the false alarm but WOWWWWWWWWWWW on not having the 5th grade knowledge of common sense
i mean like honestly where the fuck were your parents growing up, are you an orphan? how did no one tell you that you should get chicken pox out of the way as a kid, ARE YOU FROM PUERTO RICO??

I was an only child with regular vaccinations and a very healthy immune system. Only time I was 'sick' was when I wanted to stay home, play video games and jerk off to I Dream Of Jeannie re-runs. Speaking of 5th grade, it's 7 am. shouldn't you be boozing it up for an 8:30 class, nathan?

Very strange, Im suffering from the exact same thing right now in all the places you mentioned, all over my arms and a few around the shoulders and blades. I havent been around juniper bush though and I havent been around anything different, plant life, people, etc. Im scratching it like a muthafucker, which I know is very very bad but its unbearable at times. I cracked down and spent $28.00 plus tax on Calamine Lotion, Cortizone 10 Ointment and Gold Bond Medicted Anti Itch Cream....I hope it works, so far after putting the Calamine lotion on (actually the one I got was called Caladryl (8.00 just for that shit)it's calamine lotion with an anti itch reliever, I dont want to scar so Im hoping the itch will be relieved, so far so good.
I've never had chicken pox, but with chicken pox it would be all over the body and I only have it on my arms and a little on my shoulder blades and shoulder area, all the places you mentioned. I looked up Chicken Pox and I have no symptoms of it and I also dont like going to the doctors unless Im actually dying. So I hope this stuff works. So $28.00 later plus $3.50 for the cotton balls to apply the Calamine lotion, all this money better at least stop the itching so that I dont scar. Good luck with yours.

OOOPS I just read this now, glad you found out the culprit now I say put some poison on his flower garden and kill his pretty flowers. Glad you are feeling better.

Handful, spelling the word 'pedophile' on his lawn in weedkiller is decent payback and should have outstanding consequences.
Many years ago, a friend of mine was banging his neighbor's wife. The neighbor found out and wrote 'Stop Fucking My Wife' in weedkiller on his lawn. It was highly effective and even the lawn guys who came to repair it couldn't stop laughing.

I too am an only child and the only thing I ever had was measles. Got all my immunizations as a child, in fact I still have the records (my mom saved very few things from my childhood, wierd since I was an only child you would of thought she would of saved everything I've ever painted or did in school) Oh well, cant blame childhood on my problems of today as an adult. My immune system is in tip top shape and Im as healthy as fuck. But Im truly happy you found out what it was and are feeling better. Good for you. An itch will drive you insane. I scratched till I started bleeding, plus I have very long nails. Hopefully since I will stop scratching as of today I wont scar at all. PRAYS for no scars. So I did a bit of damage. Sorry for typing three different posts I still dont have it right where I can combine different posts into one post. Sorry folks.

Thank you, its much better now, I think while I was hiking in the mountains last week something must of bitten me and I spread it by itching the shit out of it. The calamine lotions worked wonders.
No Brandon for me, but thanks for the advice.
