Can't fault Bruno for picking it. Coming from comedy sidekick/love interest role in a major TV show to Die Hard and pulling it off? Outstanding.

Pity they made 2, 3 and fucking 4 really.

I loved 3. 2 was kinda... ehhh. Haven't seen 4 yet.

3 was pretty good...until the last three minutes.

Was almost like they couldn't figure out where it was going to end and just bodged up that bit on the last day of filming.

For the East Coast(Irish) kids.. The Departed is on heavy rotation right now. Kinda shrugged it off at first cause of Damon and Leo..Fucken lovin it..maybe due to saturation.

Departed is a solid flick.

Gotta say I loved The Departed, and the ending really surprised me. Really did. Didn't see that coming and thought Holy fuck! when it happened.

Good flick. Wonder if the sequel will be any good?

I put off The Departed as I always disliked Leo as and actor, couldn't stomach Alec Baldwin, never cared for Matt Damon and thought Marky Mark was always a bit gooberish in his roles. Finally saw it and really enjoyed it so much I watched it a second time the next day; one of the only movies I enjoyed more watching it a second time putting together so many subtle plot lines. Totally changed my minds about all of those actors.

Jack deserved an Oscar for that role as Frank Costello; *so* many memorable lines from him throughout the whole film. Wahlberg in my opinion was robbed for the supporting Oscar too.

Easily one of my top 10 or 20 films.

Absolutely love The Departed. Not a weak performance in the bunch.
