I can play Honky Tonk Woman note for note without being sloppy. I don't like sloppiness. For Delta blues, I don't think its the slopiness that makes it work. Its the feeling behind it. You can be all technical, but if it doesn't have the feeling, then it sounds souless. Thats why I never got into Vai, Malmsteen, Becker and all those shredders from the 80's.
