With the current weak dollar exchange rate, $1 million US is roughly £500,000 Sterling, which means even some one with a modest buy-to-rent property portfolio in the UK could very easily become a dollar millionaire...I've no doubt the same applies to the US if you have the right property in the right location.

They can definitely earn the money...with scenes averaging out at about $1,000 a pop (sometimes more if more is required or the girl has a higher rate, like an Amy Ried), working 4 days a week and taking 3 off, that's a little over $200,000 per annum. More if they work more/do more.

The real trick is 1) Can they save any of it or invest it wisely and 2) can they manage their career with an eye on longevity, i.e., holding off on certain acts so that they have a fall back option if work in other niches/genres dry up?

The evidence to date would suggest 'No!'.

As I've stated before, another Jenna Jameson could definitely happen, and more importantly probably needs to happen. But that's something the studios need to work out amongst themselves...as it currently stands, whoever the 'Next Jenna' may be, she is not in the industry as we speak.
