ON A SERIOUS NON-XPT INSULTING NOTE: Well, I'm glad Kurt is taking the father thing seriously and frankly, exiting the industry is probably the best thing for the kid, even in uber-liberal Europe (though not sure what the politics in NW Spain are as those are the only surfing spots I can really think of over there). Not sure how the move to Europe will treat him; the U.S. Dollar is pretty much worthless compared to the Euro right now compared to five or six years ago, its basically like losing 30% of your money the second you fly across the pond, not to mention if he's going over there with large sums of cash the tax laws are all screwed up and will not be in his favor.

Hopefully he gets his finances done right; $1200 round-trip plane tickets, and everything so much more expensive in Europe can take a toll on even the most secure bank accounts, let alone with a kid on the way. Here's hoping he sticks to his gun and doesn't have to come back to the industry too soon.
