This is sad news. As a Scotch aficionado, I can attest to the quality of his books, "The Complete Guide to Single Malt Scotch" in particular. As far as I am concerned, it is the end-all be-all of Scotch drinkers knowledge. I'll be tipping back a glass of or two of Laphroaig tonight in his memory.
