I read it as a useless rock-star wannabe, probably so desperate for money, that he has now sunk to this. How sad - he did actually make some decent music with Jane's Addiction (although I credit Perry Farrell for that). He sucked with the Chili Peppers and pretty much ever since. Even Carmen Electra dumped his sorry ass.
