Has anybody caught an episode of this. How does this douchbag get off giving advice on dating. He looks like he might belong to the "porn" genere with the fuzzy hat and tattoo of lip prints on his neck, somebody around here must associate with him. I did have a buddy that read his book and he had a couple good points, but now I know he must be full of shit.

That's Mystery from Neil Struass's The Game. It read like fiction until his celeb characters arrive, then I googled Mystery and his forum Mystery's Lounge, and realized these were real people and Strauss really did share these experiences with them. The Game starts with Strauss learning the pick-up techniques but evolves into the back story behind the guys in the pick-up scene (yes, there was a scene- complete with other teachers running $6k seminars!) and how it was anything but seductive. Picture describing XPT to someone and trying to explain that it's actually not about porn. Honestly, The Game one of my favorite books. I always pictured Mystery more Marilyn Manson than 1997 Canadian raver douche, though.

I took a look at the book, when my buddy had it and it did have some interesting ways to look at the psycology of social interaction, and how you can play on peoples need to be accepted in a group situation, but it really seemed like short term tactic's and after you hang out with the group, if your just a dork its over anyway. Maybe I should try the fuzzy hat though.
