Don't you mean why would anyone waste 50k on a movie Steve had creative control over? Eli's movie has a budget reportedly approaching 10x Lockwood's (and I'm sure it will be 100x better) and that isn't including the advertising push, yes? When Steve's movie comes out, most people are going to hear about the budget and think two words (not three as in POS); "creative accounting".

Edited to add that Steve's claim about the movie is interesting since AVN.com has the cheap knockoff flick RBN at #24, after a number of titles that have been around for months and cost distributors a LOT more at wholesale...
