BTW, Fatty, what kind of quack would put you on either Wellbutrin or Effexor in the first place?

The former runs the highest risk of triggering a manic episode amongst antidepressants. The latter has various cardiovascular side effects which could compound whatever health issues result from your weight.

HEY man!! How you been?!?

Oddly, I have no health issues (other than on my knees) from my weigh. My blood sugar is fine. My cholesterol has always been fine - even at 355lbs. Liver and kidneys perfect.

My weight is from eating too much of the wrong things.

But, even at 355 I walked about 30 miles a week. Now at about 285 I likely do 40. I lug 2 40lb tubs of kittylitter up 5 sets of stairs in 1 trip with little difficulty to save my knees from walking back down [it walking DOWN stairs that kills me, not up].

I'm more "offensive lineman" than blob.

The Effexor works well on moderating my depression. I have Lamictal to stablize my manic, but I still have some depression and anxiety. I have Risperdal off-label for anxiety and it works. But, it impedes my weight loss. The Wellbutrin works to give me energy in day-to-day activities and ability to fully enjoy Mr. Woodman's casting clips.

The danger is taking the anti-depressants in the absence of the Lamictal - which happened in June. I forgot it in NY. She should have directed me to stop taking the Wellbutrin and cut back on the Eff. Instead she increased both and fucked up the Lamictal prescription.

Hello Hospital!

Since then 5 other doctors have reviewed the meds and we've agreed on this medication for now. There may be changes on the horizon, but not at the moment.
