My 2 cents:
How many performers and industry insiders besides Darth (jk) are actively posting on this board? Probably not as many as there could be. But they are the ones who keep the real dirt/news/porn coming and make this site interesting.
That's a good reason to welcome Kurt and any other performer who wants to post here.
It's great to read the comments the rest of us posts - us, the large majority, consumers, fans, non-insiders, hangers-on, posers, ex-porners, whatever you want to call that group - and it's interesting to "share" our "opinions" and "discuss" issues xpt style, but in the end it gets repetitive and boring if it degenerates into an endless clash of egos.
Xpt is not a fanboy site and it's not a place for successful self-promotion. If you are an industry insider and you register here with your real professional name you're not going to have much fun gossiping because more often then not you won't be able to write what you really know or think - unless you don't care about your career.
Female attention whores will do fine here if they are attractive and post some of their nude pictures. Male attention whores... well... might do well as long as they don't post their pictures and as long as they don't talk too much about themselves.
Sexist, isn't it?
A good point.
At the risk of being drawn into what seems a pro/anti Kurt war there seems to be several points of contention. The situation seems to consist of a series of events that allegedly have taken place and one that defenitely did.
Now i dont have a dog in this run, when i buy porn i for one by it for the women, not the men. However that being said i still sont understand why a fairly large amount of people here dont like Kurt. That he promotes himelf is a gvien but i honestly wonder why people get upset about that.Porn is like any other business in that the workers who perofrm in porn more or less count on thier popularity with fans to purchase more of their product. That to my knowledge is the way it works, if Kurt goes out of his way to publicise himself that is part of the process of working in porn or any other business. Whther it works or not is yet to be determined
The only real issue i know of is the incident with Gram where the two of them were seen on video almost coming to blows. When i saw the tape it looked as if Kurt was the aggressor, but even though i have gone to Grams board and followed that incident here and at other places, the actual reasons for that are unclear in as far of what was said and not said not only allegedly by Gram but by both of them, and what was actualyl said at the altercation. The only people who actually know what the situation was are Kurt and Gram, Kurt's come here it would be good if Gram could too. And yet i understand he might take issue with that.
What i find curious about that matter is that sometime later another porn performer what allegedly pistol whipped by another well known porn director, and yet instead of outrage is seems to have been regarded from as something of a joke, to something this woman may have deserved?
Frankly i dont believe in violence agaisnt anyone unless absoloutely neccesary, and although it is neccesary. But the level of reaction towards the woman in that incident is poles apart to the reaction of ffeeling towards Gram in the Kurt and Gram argument. It is amost as though it was felt that she deserved it and became the object of humour.
ala
The other thing theing that i would like to address is the question of homosexuality. Kurt says his isnt a homosexual, first of all why does it matter if he is or not, or anyone is or not? A majority of women in the porn i have seen have engaged in lesbian sex on film, and yet there seems to be no equivalent reaction to their activities as the reaction is to Kurts? Is there a line in carrying on homsexual behaviour on film (or off) where enganging in lesbian sex is to be commended (or at worst ignored) and the constant reminder that Kurt engaged in what is termed i believe 'anal play'. Or for any actor to engage in homosexual behaviour on film be it with another man?
The solution is to not buy it, if you dont like it. You can even say you dont like it. But if you're going to say you dont like homosexual activity on film or to use it as a basis for an ad hominem attack then it seems to be objective a person should be equally dishing out the commnets on the evils of homosexuality to each and every actress in porn who has ever done a lesbian scene.
Seems only fair
Thanks, glad to see there is at least SOME rational thinking in this place...
