Here's a few quotes from the reviews at AVN (which many of you generally consider to whore out the ratings for advertising dollars) on his works to date :

1) Decline: "...a massive love letter from Kurt Lockwood to himself"; "A tale of how a young man was unable to make it in brutal mainstream Hollywood...

2) Lords: "Despite its clever title, there isn't anything particularly clever about this release."

3) Thumbsuckers 2: "There is something pretty creepy about Lockwood's presence here..."

Other reviewers have said similar things, often less kind, but I can see why he might not appreciate reviews given the honesty even his pals at AVN have shown (their former publisher played in a band with the guy as a sideline IIRC, generating a lot of positive press for him and his projects).
