And the idiocy of all those Tommy James hits still amazes me. The guy produced a great sound but never had one valid narrative idea. Crystal Blue Persuasion? Mony Mony? Draggin' The Line? Other than being sham psychedelic, what the fuck does "Crimson & Clover" mean? I don't think Joan knows either. You can see it in her eyes. But one thing's for sure: she's all hot over being able to sing about a girl.
