your right that might be becuase everyone that has done it in the industry did it as a knock off of wrestling promotions that exist(XPW).

Rob Black made XPW a cheap ECW carbon copy for the west coast he ran the promotion wrong on so many levels having 40 wrestlers on his roster thet did'nt even know a wrist lock from a wrist watch accept the ECW rejects.

Paul Heyman(owner of ECW) sued Rob for stealing one of his contracted wrestlers(Sabu)who was'nt getting along with heyman becuase he did'nt wont to job to new talent.

Heyman also sued him for logo infringment,And when ECW came out to the west coast for the frist time in LA(HeatWave 2000) XPW wrestlers made a scene in the crowd during the main event match and were forced out of the grand olympic auditorium and got confronted by ECW wrestlers one of them being over 700 lbs.kicked the XPW guys asses for real all over the parking lot the cops were called but LAPD did'nt do shit they tought it was staged as a part of the show.

ECW folded in 2001 but is now back as a 3rd rate WWE show cant say the same for XPW there library of matches is compared to the origanal ECW's library of matches that vince brought before he restarted ECW as a brand would the same happen for XPW hell no there library ain't worthy enough for TNA to buy it.

Someone in the industry can be successful doing this it just has to be done right make the wrestling promotion with its own formula not other ones that already exist have lots of money to go with tri to get on semi national networks (satellite channels) instead of local UHF channels or do both witch is what ECW did when heyman ran it the more ways to get viewers the better.

I would recommend running it like The Origanal ECW just more business wise then heyman but make formula of the show with just a hint of Hardcore ECW wrestling that the fans love to see from a indy promotion and there can be a sound profit from it the ECW marketing plan is the best for this becuase ECW Targeted mainly the 18 and up crowd a plus for advertiseing your porn by word of mouth on tv and graphicly online Rob did this but not good enough his show was only seen on UHF channels very few people watched it only die hard wrestling fans that had nothing better to do on saturday just before midnight wrong time to air a wrestling garbage wrestling show on KJLA witch is why getting airtime on a semi-national satellite channel can help a lot(sunshine Network,Empire,Fox sports Net,ect)so then your viewers go from 100 people watching in each state you market in with UHF to at least a half million new fans if your show can get 0.5 ratings TNA impact aired on all 3 of the networks above before getting on Spike TV now they are 2nd biggest wrestling promotion in the US.
