If I've said it once, I've said it a million times...the industry needs to find a new figurehead ASAP. It's baffling that Vivid, Wicked, DP et al can't seem to find or correctly promote 'The Next Big Thing'.
Whether you love her or hate her, Jenna was good for the whole industry...in many respects, she was like a walking, talking billboard. People (i.e., not regular porn buyers) who called in to an adult store to see what all the fuss was about would then likely go on to try out the work of other performers and companies. But I think it's fair to say her time has well and truly passed.
It's unthinkable that in an industry so fixated on youth and beauty, where there's a bunch of fresh 18 year olds getting off the bus every day, that Jenna could be #1 for so long...her competitors have simply not been able to either a) get their shit together or b) keep their shit together long enough to mount any sort of serious challenge to her throne.
There's been a whole lot of laurel-sitting going on, and it is going to come back and start biting the industry in the ass...it may in fact already have begun to do so.
As for Jenna herself, she's still looking painfully thin...not good at all.
