Seabrook was a great writer. I have signed copies of MAGIC ISLAND and his other stuff. Seabrook wrote the introduction to THE WHITE KING OF LA GONAVE, the autobiography of Faustin Wirkus. Definitely worth checking out.

The Gold book is a must-read. He lived there for decades.
