it takes a bit of leverage to cock the hammer on a revolver, and getting it tangled in someones hair probably wouldnt do the trick...while not impossible Im sure, but highly unlikely...a few raps from the butt of a pistol and the victim wont be doing much...problem solved, temporarily.
