I don't think that is anywhere close to true. In what other industries can a guy with a camcorder and some basic skills enter the market and compete with the big production companies? The fact that so many people HAVE entered the market the past few years - using very small resources - is proof of this. Relatively speaking, there are NO barriers to entry to the porno industry these days. Of course, economic theory tells us that such a market will have profits close to zero. Isn't that exactly the kind of profit squeeze that you guys are always talking about on this messageboard? That it is getting very hard to live off of porn?
