Quote:
steve buddy, you do realize that all of the major gay studios are condom only correct?
Yes, I do.
Didn't the Marc Wallice and Darren James outbreaks show that a non-major company can have implications for the rest of the industry, the major players included? And you really think the only sex that happens with gay porn stars happens *on camera* and *with protection*? Seriously?
Next time I'm at a porn store I'll mosey into the gay section and do a survey of bareback movies vs. protection ones.
(On a side not-You don't think as more gay companies enter the fray that they will focus on bareback given the increased profit margins for films of that genre?)
Quote:
but you also realize that all bi scenes have to be AIM tested as well?
Is this policy in writing somewhere? Do you really think *every* company follows AIM policies and guidelines? Its really a practice used by companies operating out of Southern California and a few select companies elsewhere. I have yet to hear of a company out of Nor Cal (Frisco in particular) who fully utilizes AIM, or testing in general.

do you know the shitstorm i have to deal with on a weekly basis? no one has done what i have done.
Really Christian, I do think you're one of the more responsible male talent guys out there given that you are open about it and have never shied away from your gay porn past (ahem...Talon anyone?) and open about your orientation. Seriously, that is commendable and you should be the role model rather than the exception. But really, for every one responsible performer out there there's five irresponsible ones. And you do openly chose to be active on places like XPT where it comes up; have you ever seen any of the other crossover male talent guys (theres plenty of them) on XPT or anywhere else even discussing it?
Quote:
and there is virtually no crossover between the gay industry and the straight.
Not as much (openly discussed at least) now, but there will be in three to four years and the creation of a talent agency representing gay talent (as well as straight) is the first step. You really think one of Shy's gay stars would turn down fucking a chick if the cash was right? Just look out how many guys started in the gay side of the industry and moved into the straight; I can think of at least two handfuls of popular male talent working (and actively working right now) the straight side who had a cock in their face in their first scene.
Quote:
and you arent really being prophetic are you? cmon bro, predicting an outbreak in an industry where no one uses condoms and there are more and more people doing more and more scenes. yeah, you are the next nostradamus.
Uh, the gay industry has outbreaks on a weekly basis and they're kept quiet and swept under the carpet; I've heard numbers ranging from 3-90% of gay performers have the HIV, and these numbers come from gay stars *I've asked myself.*
I'm being *prophetic* in that bisexual scenes and tranny scene will continue to rise in popularity with more and more companies producing such content with state-side producers and then an outbreak (that already affects the gay industry) will make that jump like so many male actors before it. And prophetic that the outbreak will be traced to an actor working both sides rather than just a needle-sharing addict.
