I was at this show in Vancouver back in 1999. It was awesome - he played the venue where the symphony plays so the acoustics were first rate.

There was another, more recent trip where he played the Commodore Ballroom, which is standing room only and can cram about 1000 people in, but tickets were gone in a flash (over 500 people camped out for the tix), so I didn't make it. Here's a review for the die-hards.

Perhaps first I should mention the crowd at the show. Never in my life, or my girlfriend's life, had we seen such a grotesque crew of madmen, pregnant ladies, tophat wearing circus freaks, and Yanni-inspired fashion victims in one room. Had I not know Tom Waits was playing, I could have passed off the sold-out Orpheum to a Reveen show or perhaps a Bakhtin-inspired Sigfried and Roy tribute show.
