Fill us in a little, is DP saying that Tara can work for other people but not use the name "Tera Patrick" or that she can't work for anyone else at all.

From what I read on Gene Ross it seemed like the court was saying she could use "Tera Patrick", but it's unclear if DP wants to keep her pussyhole to itself as well.

Regarding this whole ugly issue,I would personally walk away from it until the whole legal case is over and done with,and then would take the next step from there(after the smoke clears away),since exclusively having Tera telling her side of the story(on KSEX) would be a massive step for KSEX to accomplish in making a bigger name for itself,and for all those who work(and play/party on-the-air) there,and dealing with the roaring egos of Adella O'Neill(Digital Playground's head associate)and Paul Cambria is an uneasy task that's not worth getting one self tangled upon.

Tera's been gone for months and made no appearances anywhere except the AIM booth in Vegas until DP attorneys scared them enough to ask her to leave.

An up and coming radio station in the adult world gets an exclusive first interview and a possible new controversial host, while for the time being, silencing DP attorneys...sounds like a good move to me. If the remaining legal things go in DP's favor, KSEX walks away. If not, KSEX stood toe to toe and won a battle other companies feared. How do you lose here?

I personally dont think Tera Patrick nor half the girls who are under contract with any company would have made it big with their names without the female agreeing to slave for the company. I think Tera would have only remained big as a runway model and caused some shot for doing porn for a short period of time but of course it would be as big as it is if she didn't have a contract.

You know, this was all cleared up in about 1984 when Alice Cooper sued his label and past band members for the right to use the name Alice Cooper. Law is pretty clear. Companies can brand images and logos but not people, even if the person is using an assumed name. As long as that person is closely associated with a non-de-plum moreso than the corporate image. Even if Tera Patrick's name was created by DP, (which I highly doubt) they have no rights to it anymore than Paramount pictures could force an actor named Charles Buchinski to change his name back when his contract expired
