A 13 year-old girl is stabbed to death in north St. Louis. Investigators believe a 12 year old boy attacked her.
Police say happened around 11:30 Thursday night near their homes on St. Louis Avenue at Prairie Avenue.
One apparently accused the other of stealing some fireworks. The girl was stabbed in the chest with a steak knife.
Her mother suffered minor cuts as she tried to break up the fight.
A family friend drove the teen and her mother to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
On the way to the hospital, police stopped them at St. Louis Avenue and Taylor for driving erratically.
An ambulance then took the girl to the hospital where she died. The boy was arrested at his home.
