You know, I saw a movie recently with two Playboy Playmates (Angel Boris and Jaime Bergman, who was also on 'Son of the Beach') in it. It was 'Boa vs. Python' the sequel to 'Python' (which featured former Playmate of the Year Jenny McCarthy)...both movies are craptaculars with some of the worse CGI and acting you could ever hope to see. Angel Boris was naked a lot.

Playmates pretty much suffer the same problem as pornstars in that they are immediately typecast (if they get cast at all), and the roles they are offered will reflect this...Hot chick that gets naked and fucks is going to be pretty much their only dramatic calling, and I don't think stepping up to hardcore will change that for better or for worse. I think a list of Playmates that kept their clothes on in movie roles would be incredibly short...of the ones I'm aware of, the only one that comes to mind is Cara Wakelin in a blink-and-you'll-miss-her role in 'Death To Smoochy'. Having a Playmate in your movie that doesn't get naked is like having Bruce Lee in your movie but not having any martial arts scenes. The audience has certain expectations that need to be met, after all.

'Death To Smoochy' wasn't that bad, but it would have been a whole lot better (and probably grossed a lot more $$$) if Ms. Wakelin had appeared like this:




At the end of the day, being a Playmate, Pet, or Pornstar is like being someone who was in Power Rangers...one or two might buck the trend, but 99.9% of them don't ever have to worry about blowing their shot at mainstream, because it ain't ever coming.

As for satisfaction...it don't pay the rent. Marketed correctly, a PPV exclusive event like a popular Playmate or Pet going hardcore would be a great earner for all concerned. That's why studios are falling over themselves to spend ridiculous amounts of money on piss-poor quote-unquote 'celebrity' sex tapes...if someone has name recognition and can bring an audience with them, then it's going to make bank.
