It seems to be crashed. I can hear the platters spin up like normal and then, when you would normally hear the heads jump out and align, it makes a little clicking noise and that's it. I tossed it into a USB case today (easier to work with than keeping it inside my case running IDE) and fooled with it for a while but nada.
