Does it not respond at all or come up with a cyclic redundancy error? I've gotten data off a bad drive before by wrapping it in a towel and leaving it in the freezer for several hours. The cold shrinks the metal slightly and can allow some of the internal tolerances to pass, at least until it heats back up. Maybe worth a try.
It seems to be crashed. I can hear the platters spin up like normal and then, when you would normally hear the heads jump out and align, it makes a little clicking noise and that's it. I tossed it into a USB case today (easier to work with than keeping it inside my case running IDE) and fooled with it for a while but nada.
Take the drive out, lay it on the counter and spin it carefully in circles (both ways) centrifical force can
reset the spindle if its stuck.
