Two problems: First, I believe she is under exclusive contract to S1 in Japan. Secondly, the amount of money she is making (because she is able to do mainstream work as well...the Japanese don't really have the 'porno glass ceiling' thing going on) would probably put her well out of Vivid's price range, let alone your average (or even not so average) gonzo company. Who knows, maybe when her contract expires, but I wouldn't put money on it.

You may be right there!
I had always wondered how payscales in Jap AV compared to the US/Europe. Do you really think they're that much higher?
You raise another good point about the porno "Glass ceiling." (Although thinking about it I feel glass noose would be more apt!)
As Japan tends to be culturally about 5years ahead of the west in many aspects, do you feel we may one day have a culture where porn is just another aspect of modern culture rather than the murky pool it is today.
Without wanting to be too philosophical about things, I feel that until porn gets back to eroticism and moves away from the current attitude of POV hotel room, ..this is a girl...this is her vagina..this is my finger in her vagina...this is a penis...ETC...! mentality then it will continue to stagnate and remain frowned upon by society.
Maybe its something to do with deconstructing beauty in a image based society!
Or vicarious pleasures in a sytem where we are always made to want more..
Maybe modern porn and the gagfactor mentality is the equivalent of running a key down a car one will never own and only dream about?
Anyway. Too many maybes.
I just hope Maria Would go western style.

As a general rule, the rates for girls in Japan are actually a lot less than those in the US and Europe...but big stars like Maria can really rake in the dough.

Japanese culture differs from ours in a number of ways...look how widely accepted and stigma-free comics/manga are with all age groups. As to the wider acceptance of porn in the West, I think the internet is helping widen acceptance, but not quite to the extent where pornstars are as acceptable as, say, Playboy Playmates or Page 3 girls. Not yet, anyway.

Then you need to check for some specific genres or company. For example there is a video called Sex Masters (I forget which company made it) but the girls act like deviants (think Kelly Wells on speed). Also check out some of the shit from Giga (good luck holding your stomach). You might run into the occasional "kawaii" behavior but believe me, there will be plenty of girls acting aggressive. Also check out Yuma Asami. And remember, theres always hentai.

Personally I find many of the girls mentioned VERY hot but Im not naive enough to think that all porn viewers are as egalitarian of ethnicity. Many US/Euro porn viewers are just not turned on by the ASIAN look. Maria Ozawa to all intents and purposes is caucasian, just with enough exotica to her stew to make her irresistible. IMO  On a different point . I remember one BTS interview with Fujiko Kano where she said that Jap porn was yucky and weird and US porn paid better. Do you think its the language barrier stopping more Jap exports or something else? It cant be the misogynistic attitude in the US, after all they invented Bukkake, Gokkun , water bondage fuck machines etc.

Very true...some people think Asian girls are dog ugly. Others (and I include myself in this number) think they are as hot as all fuck. Tera Patrick is the de facto #1 star in the industry at the minute, and she's half-Thai, so I think Joe Porn Consumer is pretty tolerant of ethnicity if the chick is hot enough.
For example, I think Jenna Haze is kinda hot, but I don't think her popularity has anything to do with her ethnicity because there are 100's of other girls who look a lot more like the kind of girl I'd want (or expect) to see in a Latina-themed flick than she does.

It's a weird one...one hardly needs to be fluent in English to perform in a Gonzo film (just look at Donny Long, for example!  ), but it makes little sense for Japanese girls to come over to the US when they have a domestic industry, plus the US has its own supply of Asian chicks, in various different ethnic varieties. Maria Ozawa, however, is a bona fide exception to the rule. She's contract quality, and speaks fluent English, so I've no doubt she could make it in the US if she wanted to, but perhaps she's happy where she is (geographically and career-wise) and with what she's doing and earning?

So as it seems to be generally agreed that Maria is superhot and contract worthy,
And as she is a fluent english speaker with a fan blog, does anybody think it would be worth contacting her site to ask if she will ever do western movies as well?
There is a chance though that if her first contact with the west was some of the the misogynists and reprobates of XPT she might be scared off for good  !
Any suggestions?
Lastly if anybody could could tell me how to place a pic in a post and not just as an attachment that would be appreciated.

after you attach the picture open the attachment and copy the address. paste the address between these tags

I'd contact her agent/publicist rather than contacting her directly. Make it seem more buisnesslike.
As for the pictures, upload the image as before, download it when complete, copy the URL from the image. Now edit the post and place the copied URL between the two image tags. [img][/img]. Then you're all set.

ginor, she is under exclusive contract to DasDas in Japan, so nothing is going to happen until that contract either expires or is terminated...or unless Wicked/Vivid/DP negotiate some sort of talent draft/trade with them. Sorry dude!
