I have a plastic owl mounted outside my house on the fourth floor above the outside shower. It works great keeping sea gulls and pigeons off the eave above thereby stopping their shit from landing on aforementioned outside shower. It's like the one pictured. If you take this route make sure you get one like this with the head that swivels. It's much more lifelike and effective.
