I always felt Benoit was a creepy, lifeless performer and something was never right about him. Sure his athletic skill and technique was among the best but there's no way you spend that much time in a wrestling ring, especially this day in age, and never develop any significant in-ring mic skills or personality. (contrasting say to Kurt Angle started the same way yet quickly developed incredible mic and talking skills you could just tell were in an inner reflection of his personality). I always felt Benoit had a weird vibe to him and something under the surface. Seriously, a 7 year old kid? Really, beating him to death?

Sad to say I was right about him.
