just got back from a few days in put-in-bay, one of the lake erie islands (yes, we have islands in ohio.) turns out that the area is infested with water snakes--they actually did a "dirtiest jobs" (mike rowe = ) episode here. this is the first snake i saw; i was sitting on the edge of a dock and this motherfucker swam right beneath my feet. the teenagers fishing next to me then caught it and sat it on the dock right next to me, all slithering around, and laughed at me while i screamed, cried, peed my pants (a little) and threw up. bastards. btw, i really missed this place while i was gone...
