It was 9 teams two weeks a go, now its Oakland, Seattle and Detroit. Not that it matters, unless the Yankees get a significant upgrade at set up (or get 8 innings from the starter every game0 they are not going anywhere. The Yankees are 4-10 in one run games, which tells you all you need to know.
The difference between the Yankees and Cards is the Yankees have outscored their opposition by 70 runs, where its the opposite for the Cards. If you follow Bill James' Win Share forula, the Yankees should have 7 more wins. Again, 4-10 in one run games tells you all you need to know.
