Pulpo Inc. Mingles Mainstream Indie Aesthetic with XXX, Debut Garners
Acclaim

CHATSWORTH, Calif. ‹ With compelling storylines and a dedication to
cinematic quality, adult video startup Pulpo Inc. brings the best of
Hollywood indie movies to X-rated features.

Pulpo Inc.'s attention to the craft of filmmaking comes from its background
in the mainstream entertainment industry. Not content with the features they
saw being made in the adult industry, the principals of the company shot an
adult movie they wanted to see using their mainstream contacts and access to
production facilities.

"We want to create movies that aren't just storylines to hang the sex scenes
from," Andres Tabogo, director of Black Worm, the company's first movie,
said. "Our films incorporate sex as a natural progression of the plot. We
want the fans to watch the whole movie -- not just the sex."

Black Worm, available now, revolves around gangland double crosses and drug
deals gone wrong. The feature created an instant buzz within the adult
industry when its trailer was shown during the company's official launch at
the 2007 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January. Critical acclaim as a
must-see movie for the company's debut -- shot with a budget of $150,000 --
came quickly, putting Pulpo on the short list of companies to watch.

"[Black Worm is] well shot, has solid performances, and will keep viewers
glued to its storyline," Adultdvdempire.com's Spooky wrote in his review.
"In fact, Black Worm is already a strong contender for the best adult
feature of 2007...it's that good. If this is an indication of the kind of
quality we're going to be getting from Pulpo, I can't wait to see what they
have in store for us next."

What Pulpo has in store next for Spooky, and the other members of the
company's growing fan base, is Dolores of My Heart, scheduled for release
later this summer.

Unlike Black Worm, Dolores of My Heart centers on marriage and betrayal. The
company will maintain its high production standards for its sophomore
effort.

Pulpo is also sponsoring the XFANZ Los Angeles Erotica Film Fest on Sept. 15
to 16 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
