I've noticed quite a bit of variance in the response from LA Lawyers I've seen on the various news shows. Robert Shapiro made it very clear that the sentence was ridicuously high for DUI. HOWEVER, she was not sent to jail for the DUI, but for repeated violations of the probation she got for the DUI.

A retired judge on CNN last night was very clear that the sentence was not out of line for someone who appeared to be wilfuly flouting the judicial system.

I don't have any idea of sentencing guidelines but I get a certain amount of satisfaction in the fact that she is back in jail mere hours after throwing herelf a dinner party while on home detention.

Looks good on her to be on international TV looking like shit.
