I know this has probably been trotted out before, but there is a Rocco Siffredi interview in which he states that the majority of porners have herpes, they just keep it in check. Whether it's true or not I don't know. I'm just too lazy today to hunt for the link.

Under a microscope, HSV- 1 and 2 are virtually identical, sharing approximately 50% of their DNA. Even this difference is not absolute either type can reside in either or both parts of the body and infect oral and/or genital areas.
