I think Affirmative Action reform would go a long way to ameliorating the legitimate grievances held by those we now deem as "racists," particularly in the mid-west and west, leaving ignorance and fear as the chief culprits/causes of racism.

Unfortunately, such reform would likely take another 40 years to accomplish, as the debate is so heated, and I'm more than half-convinced that any plan put into place thereby would already be outdated.

As for fear and ignorance, the only antidote is time. The South has come a long way since the first Juneteenth, bt Whites and Blacks alike know it has a ways to go. No Gov ernment intervention, No Freedom Ride Crusade, no matter how well intentioned, will solve these problems. The South must be allowed to evolve on it's own.
