It seems like almost a majority of people in porn think Max's product is obscene. If you think he's going to convince a jury or appelate court that pissing, vomiting or fisting a girl made up to look like a 14 year old is not obscene I think your fooling yourself.



Just look at the Venue: The Redneck part of Florida. Max is almost guaranteed to lose at Trial, but this case will not be decided at Trial. It will be decided either in the 11th Circuit Court of appeals (which covers Florida, Georgia and Alabama; not exactly Porn-Friendly territory) or, ultimately, by the US Supreme Court itself. Take one look at the makeup of the high court and ask yourself what Max's chances are there.

Realistically, the only chance, both for Max and for the industry as a whole, is for the Dems to win in '08, and for that winner to let the matter quietly die. If Obama is indeed the party's frontrunner then I'm glad, because historically, the frontrunner this far out in the election cycle never wins the primary. Usually never even comes close. Just ask Paul Tsongas. Oh wait, he's dead, never mind. Or look at Jimmy Carter, someone who came out of nowhere to triumph over the "known" candidates in '76.
