She called my mother a few weeks ago, to say she'd given birth to a healthy child-- I think it was a girl but I'm not positive. She got her own apartment, her boyfriend got a job, and she loves being a mother. Says she's even given up smoking cigarettes. She thanked my mother for getting her out of LA, and everyone who donated to help her move. Apparently it was quite an emotional call (in a good way).
