Do we really need another Football league? If so, can Cuban make it happen. Dude is super smart and I would not bet against him.

I do like the fact that he's trying to place teams in markets that there is no NFL teams. Can you imagine a Football team in Vegas. NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB all stay far away from Vegas.

Also heard on the raido that a franchise in the new UFL would cost close to 16 mill. They also mention that the owner of Google was in with Cuban. TV will be hard to lock down for the new league. The NFL already has deals with FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, ESPN and NFL Network. I think the only outlet would be the FSN networks.

but they are still owned by Fox so the NFL could/will kill that. I guess they could start their own channel. I know this year the Big Ten will run their own network. It's not out of the question.

I thought he(Cuban) was going to purchase the Pirates or the Cubs and do the MLB thing.

I can't see the AAFC as a "failed" league. The league "closed" only after the "best" of its teams, including the 4 time league champion Cleveland Browns, merged with the NFL for the 1950 season.
