Nic Andrews' "Rush"
Digital Playground's attempt to become the Next Big Company is merely a wannabe mainstream action movie, with five hardcore sex scenes thrown in to make it different from the rest of the batch, and while Andrews' directing is fluidly strong, the mediocre plot(remiscent of 70s story porn film, without the on-screen roughness that K.O.'ed that sub-genre) and weak acting(despite the great on-screen chemistry between Devon and Barrett Blade, who were a off-screen couple at the time,as well)sadly keep it from being anything more than a mere porn film(with a mainstream flavor). However,I do admire the idea that the DP folks are attempting here, for I wish them the best of luck if their next film follows this film's similar formula, but succeeds much more better than this film's attempt at fulfilling that mere single goal.(with "No Limits" being on the way, featuring the debut of new highly tauted DP player Jesse Jane).
